In addition to competing in FIRST Robotics, the TC Titans also strive to build awareness of STEM in our community and inspire others to pursue STEM-related careers, particularly in the next generation. See what we’ve been up to:

In June ’24 we were invited to speak at Cherryland Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting. Not only did we share our team’s story with Cherryland’s co-op members, but we showed off our Crescendo season robot, Saturn, too. Some team members and even our team flag got a lofty ride in one of Cherryland’s bucket trucks.

Members of TC TItans FRC 3767 traveled all the way to Howell, Michigan to volunteer our time and help out with the FTC State Championships – NW (FIRST in Michigan’s middle school level robotics).

Our E-waste & Scrap Metal Recycling Drives, held in September & April, found us partnering with community member Padnos Recycling. In each of our events, we were able to raise a little money and more importantly, divert scrap metal and e-waste from landfills!

December ’23 found us once again helping out at Super Science Saturday, a STEM-related event hosted by our sister team, FRC 1711 The Raptors. We enjoy sharing our love of STEM with area youth at this annual event.

This fall and spring, we helped pack STEM kits for area elementary schools in partnership with Newton’s Road, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing STEM-learning opportunities to area youth.

This summer and fall we’ve been helping our rookie FTC teams at West Middle School, Apollo (23410) and Artemis (23411) launch their seasons. We helped host a summer workshop and the Centerstage Kick-off event. We are excited to see where these two teams go as the compete for the first time – and to welcome them as future TC Titans!

In May, we were very excited to help TCAPS’ West Middle School launch a competitive FTC robotics program. We were there at the initial Info Night at WMS, with our robot, Cerberus, not long after our trip to Worlds! Each of our team members had an opportunity to share what we loved about competitive robotics.

Also in May 2023, members of TC Titans engaged in the conversations surrounding the new Innovation and Manufacturing Center being added to our high school. In may we attended the school district’s discussion on the design concepts and provided feedback, a la post-it notes, on the layout of the space.

June 2023 – We shared our love for STEM at Traverse City’s Camp Invention, where over 100 elementary students enjoyed the antics of our robot, Cerberus, and heard all about what was involved in putting our bot together. Cerberus was quite a hit.

What’s a race without water? Every July, the TC Titans help quench runners’ thirst as we set up and deliver water to the many water stations in the National Cherry Festival’s Festival of Races.

April 2023 – We showed off our robot, Cerberus, at our high school as it led the TC Titans out the door as part of our send-off to the World Championships in Texas. Many at the school had not seen our robot, nor its capabilities, prior.

In March, the TC Titans co-hosted local elementary schools at our local FIRST FRC Competition in Traverse City. Members of our team toured the students through the pit area while our pit crew answered lots of great questions from the kids. We also led them in plenty of red alliance/blue alliance cheers as they watched the competition, teaching them all about Gracious Professionalism.

Every December we help our sister team from TC Central High School, FRC 1711 The Raptors, inspire curiosity in science and STEM in area youth at their Super Science Saturday event.

December 2022 – Members from the TC Titans headed to our middle school to help out with the annual Hour of Code event.
